OpenVPN Client software on Windows, Android, iOS and Mac OSx operating systems; DDNS. DDNS is the acronym for Dynamic Domain Name System. If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) assigns you a dynamic WAN IP address, you need to use a DDNS service. I use the free DNS-O-Matic service, owned by OpenDNS, to perform this function. This is a client for the afraid.org dynamic DNS service. If a cron job detects the external IP address has changed it connects to afraid.org and updates the DNS entries of all the domains of the given account. This client is available in the YUM repo via: yum -y install afraid-dyndns It has also been tested on Mac OSX.
Hello,my Mac (10.13.6 high sierra) can't authenticate with my VPN server over WAN. Windows and iOS clients are working fine.
Lengthy & detailed description:
I'm running an AS VM (2.6) on my LAN at a fixed IP using hyper-v. I've setup the external PKI using my own CA and used the db tool to set the default server certificate and CA (issued to OpenVPN) to my own.

Clients' OS must present a cert signed by the CA that has the authorized username (for the AS) as its CN.
My router uses DDNS and port forwarding to allow WAN traffic into the VPN over my domain.

I imported my CA and client cert into the Keychain both under login and System (I had to, OVPN wouldn't find it).
Upon providing credentials, the connection closes and the client signals its error state.
Looking at the logs, I'm seeing this
What does this mean? I tried Googling the CSSMERR_ constant but found nothing that resolved the issue.
EDIT: if it helps I have the private key of the client cert installed in the chain as well. (Pfx password encoded)
Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thank you
Accessing your home network while on the go is easy thanks to remote desktop connections. Sometimes access fails because your internet provider is responsible for regularly updating your IP address. DynDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) helps to establish a stable connection to your server irrespective of a changing IP address.
DynDNS services transmit a changing IP address to a static domain name to enable remote access. We’ll show you which DynDNS providers exists and how free services compare to premium DynDNS alternatives.
Find out exactly how the Dynamic Domain Name system works in our basics article on DynDNS.

In addition, one can make use of interfaces to update zones. For REST and SSH, public keys are in use. To use the DNS Update, dynv6 employs a so-called TSIG key which can be created via its website.
However, dynv6 is not designed for professional use. The service lacks expanded security features to safeguard against DDoS attacks and does not provide extensive customer support.
No-IP
No-IP appears to provide a highly professional service. The US-based DynDNS service offers three different packages:

3 host names | 25+ host names | 50+ host names |
Limited number of domains | 80+ domain options | Includes domain registration option at reduced cost ($) |
